It’s very much a self contained holiday resort with SPA facilities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was very good with generous portions and reasonably priced. Our room and bed were also very comfortable. A TV and WiFi was provided in the room. There is a pleasant garden with seating and a bar - useful on warmer nights. This backs on to a small lake and continues to a walk along the sea front. What looked like a sandy beach is about 1km away. There is a large lounge with comfortable seating. Drinks, cakes, etc., available throughout the day. There are two restaurants in use and conference facilities available. It seems popular with families, locals and as a party venue and for business meetings. Accessible for those with mobility problems in most of the hotel. One wing would prove difficult. So, it would be best to specify any specific requirements. A busy clean hotel that maintained a quality service without service delays and excess noise.

Our room was lovely. We were very happy with the facilities. My meal in the restaurant was superb. I complimented the waitress on their service and the meal and she replied in jest that she was sure that there was some kind of drug in the meal because you just wanted more!! So true. Great Kopperberg cider to compliment the meal. The view from the room was superb. It overlooked the duck pond and early in the morning we saw two lovely swans on the pond.

The hotel was extremely friendly and relaxed yet the customer service was really responsive. We asked to swap rooms as we felt our original room was quite basic, tired and disappointing and this was carried out very smoothly and quickly. The replacement room was much better and seemed to have been refurbished, as it was a higher standard of furniture and fittings. The restaurant and bar were both outstanding with a great menu, ambiance and service.

Breakfast was really lovely....the dinners were amazing, we ate all 3 nights in the hotel , I especially loved the vegetarian and vegan options, so excellent, hard to get really good vegetarian food sometimes but the restaurants really catered so well for vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. The staff were so so so friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly despite being quite busy. so impressed with the staff and service

Aisling

Very happy with our stay, just for one night so didn't get to experience everything on offer. But the room was lovely with great views (bathroom a bit of a tight squeeze, and a bit dated but nothing major). Had dinner in the bar which was lovely and great value. Breakfast was nice. The staff are absolutely super - so pleasant and helpful. They're a credit to your hotel.
